Dr. Christine Castillo

Dr. Christine Castillo was born and raised in Houston, Texas.  She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and Psychology.  She was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society in addition to other organizations.

She then graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry with honors in 2003.  While in school, she was a teaching assistant for Neuroanatomy and Binocular Vision for 2 years and served an internship with a retinal specialist at the Cizik Eye Center in Memorial Hermann Hospital and at Plano Eye Associates.  Prior to licensure, she spent the summer acquiring more experience at Cornea Associates of Texas in Dallas.  She then spent a year working as an Associate Doctor at various commercial practices until she acquired a Managerial Doctor position in August 2005.  She relinquished this position to open the Eye Trends Summerwood practice with her friend and colleague, Dr. Annie Hsu.

Dr. Castillo is a strong advocate of preventative care and good ocular health.  She is open to answering all questions and ensuring that all of your concerns are addressed.

When she is not working, Dr. Castillo's time is gladly occupied by her two sons (2 and 6 years old) and her husband.  Otherwise, she enjoys spending time with the rest of her family and playing the piano.
